Thomas Busby Obituary

Our nation lost another great Texan, Tom Busby. He was born in Galveston, Texas to Martha Jane and John Edward Busby Sr. on October 3, 1944 and passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio after a long battle with cancer.
He graduated from Schertz-Cibolo High School in 1963. Tom proudly served the United States Navy as a Gunners Mate 2nd Class on the USS McDonough from 1964 - 1966 in the Atlantic. After the Navy Tom worked a short period for the Texas Highway Department and then joined the Elevator Union - Local 81 and worked for Otis Elevator until his retirement after 33 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Edward Busby Jr., and nephew Wade Busby. Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years., Gerri Busby, two sons, Shane and Kirk Busby, stepdaughter Donna and husband Kevin McLean and stepson Scott Moss and wife Kathy; his brother Tim Busby and wife Sue, two sons Mike and Kirk; sister-in-law Darlene Busby and niece Robin; four grandchildren: granddaughters; Jenna McLean & Jordan Moss and grandsons; Chris Moss & Kevin Ryan McLean.
Tom was a good, kind loving man and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, August 1st 2015 in Seguin, Texas at 172 Lee St @11am.

I just read about the loss of Tom. My heart sank with sadness, the world lost a kind hearted man. My prayers and thoughts are with Geri and family!
I worked with Tom at Otis and will always remember him as the thoughtful, sweet man he was.
