Thomas Cassidy

Thomas Andrew Cassidy passed away with his family by his side on August 5, 2024. Born in Ridley Township, PA, on May 14, 1957, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Frances (Corboy) Cassidy and is survived by his siblings Patricia (Ed), Mary, and Joan. He graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 1975 and attended Villanova University, where he made lifelong friends. Thomas worked as a warehouse manager for many years at ACME, and was also a caddy at numerous golf courses in the greater Philadelphia area. He loved trips to South Street, going down the shore with his wife, listening to music loudly on the beach, watching the Phillies, and being better than most at Jeopardy. Above all he had strong faith and was a devout Catholic. Thomas resided in Roxborough, Philadelphia, where he raised his family and was a cherished husband to Jeanne (Wack) for 40 years, a loving father to Thomas (Alex), Robert, and Kelly, and a devoted grandfather to Tyler and Ryan, along with the Wack family, and his many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. A true original who will be missed by all who loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to Thomas's Life Celebration. A viewing will be held in his honor at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 12, at Holy Family Church, located at 234 Hermitage Street in Roxborough, Philadelphia. A luncheon in his memory for his family and friends will be held at Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant at 12:30 PM, located at 4120 Main Street, Philadelphia, PA.
