Thomas Chabot Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 18, 2024.
Thomas "Tom" Chabot, 55, of Windham, Maine, passed away on March 16, 2024. Born on December 27, 1968, in Jersey City, NJ, Tom was a devoted husband, loving son, cherished brother, and a treasured uncle.

Tom's academic journey began in Mississippi and continued through Freeport High School in Maine, culminating in a degree from Penn State University. His professional life was marked by significant contributions as a Senior Designer at Transformit and later as an Automation Engineer at Packgen.

He leaves behind a legacy of intelligence, humor, and a gentle kindness that touched all areas of his life. Tom's hobbies included building and flying R/C model airplanes, assembling Legos, and riding motorcycles. They were a testament to his hands-on approach to life. His greatest passion was sharing these joys with his wife, Carissa, and he lived to make her laugh on a daily basis.

Tom is lovingly remembered by his family: his wife Carissa Parent; his mother Anne Chabot; his siblings Felicia Blye, Susan Bradstreet with her husband Ken, and Michael Chabot with his wife Katie. His memory will also be cherished by his nieces and nephews Lindsey, Erin, Zoe, Will, Jon, Zachery, and Jacob. He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Chabot.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held from 4 - 7 pm on March 21, 2024, at Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham, Maine. A Celebration of Life service will be planned at a later date to honor Tom's memory.

In Tom's memory, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a cause close to his heart.

The Chabot family wishes to extend their gratitude to New England Cancer Specialists, Hospice of Southern Maine, and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their compassionate assistance during this time.

Eternal rest grant unto Thomas, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. God bless you Cousin and I look forward to when we meet again.

Thomas, I truly enjoyed our conversations over the last few years in Maine and then in New Jersey. I know you are in peace in Heaven and one day we shall meet again. God Bless!

Carissa, Anne, Felicia, Susan & Michael: We share your loss as Thomas always a smiling man doing something he loved to do to help his family and friends. Hope to get to see all of you at the celebration of his life service at a later date. God bless Thomas and everyone else and we will have a mass said in his memory at our church at a future date.

Drive her well man. She's waiting for you. He always had a laugh about something when he wasn't working on planes or the little beast.

Tom made me laugh to the point of tears and ugly-snorting every day. He was my true soul mate and my part of my heart will forever be hollow without him.
