Thomas Coons

Thomas Ranney Coons, 85 of Watertown, WI passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, with family by his side.

Tom was born on March 26, 1940, in Meridan, CT the son of Dick M and Beth Ranney Coons. He was raised in York, PA where he graduated from high school. There he met his wife Nancy Keiser and they married on August 14, 1965. He attended Penn State University and graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked for Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture until his health would not permit it in 1976. He and Nancy joined New Tribes Mission, and he worked as maintenance supervisor, and business manager at their Waukesha, WI location. He retired in 2005 and moved to Watertown, WI. Tom could fix just about anything even making tools for what he needed. Tom enjoyed helping others working on cars or renovations. He was a hardworking man and dedicated his life to God and his family. He loved seeing men read God's word and engage in discussion on how to apply it to their lives. He was known for his love of bluegrass music and loved teasing his grandchildren. He also enjoyed classic cars, swap meets, dirt track racing and NASCAR racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and great grandson Carsen. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy, his children, Bart, Sally (Shane) Freese; Vicky (Chad) Reimer, his grandchildren Kenneth (Reanna) Freese, Jonathan (Katie)Freese, Timothy (Kendall) Freese, Christopher Freese, Reggie Reimer, Cora Reimer, 6 great grandchildren, brother Rich (Linda) Coons York, PA and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday June 12, 2025, at Harvest Evangelical Free Church on Hwy 33 in Beaver Dam WI with Pastor Mike Coss presiding. Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM until the time of the service.
