December 27, 1937-March 27, 2025

Tom Danos (ne Danowski) will be missed by many friends and family members. Born in Grand Rapids MI, he was the eldest son of Edmund Danowski and Ann Mitcavish and is survived by siblings John Danowski (Joyce), Carole Rittering, and Geno Bouwens (Alma), his wife Sharon Lothamer Harrington, ex-wife Bess Danos (nee Samerles), children Erica Danos (Joe Schwartz), Aliki Sparhawk, and Jesse Harrington (Gloria), step-children John Harrington (Cindy), Kevin Harrington (Kristin), Blake Harrington, Colin Harrington, Colette Harrington (Larry Schwoeri), and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

After graduating Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School, he enlisted in the Navy where he served 4 years before embarking on his educational course as a Dentist at the University of Michigan and later a Maxillo-facial Prosthetics at UCLA. His skills caused the US Navy to re-recruit him and he continued service for an additional 20 years.

An avid fisherman and sports fan (Go Blue!), he also enjoyed over the years playing golf, handball, softball, skiing tennis, boxing, bowling and more. Music (particularly jazz), cooking, entertaining, gambling, learning languages, hunting and playing card and board games were just a few of his many diverse interests. He took comfort from his Catholic faith and was involved in many ways in different parishes over the years.

Tom died peacefully and quickly at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital after a short battle with colon cancer. He will be missed by many. Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, MI on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30am with a luncheon to follow In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St Francis Assisi Catholic School Scholarship fund in his Memory.

Tom, I'm heartbroken to know you've passed. I've many memories of & with you but not enough. I DO remember how you had Dad's Polka Music piped in @ Arsolowitcz Funeral home during Dad's viewing as you wanted to bring "Life" to the "Party" as you said Dad would've wanted. I will truly miss you & I will always love you, My Biggest Brother, til we meet again in God's Heaven

Tom was a member of the choir I directed at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and had a lovely voice. May all who cherished him be comforted and may his memory be eternal!

I will miss you my brother, you were always an inspiration to me and a mentor that I will greatly miss especially all the what´s app video calls we had during Michigan Football games. Uncle Tom introduced me to Western movies the summer between 7th and 8th grade. Magnificent 7 and Silverado. He will be missed.
