This is a message for our family. It is hard to believe it has been 6 months since we lost Tom. But there is comfort in the fact that he is not in pain anymore. He felt so helpless those last few months. If he could have gotten out of bed himself or even get into a wheelchair he would had some activity and would have been interested in everything around him. He did say, if the TV at the home could get the movie channel he would have been a happy camper, he hated sitcoms and the food channel! Since he wasn't comprehending as well due to the cancer, he wasn't able to use the Kindle. Our home is so quiet and lonely. I really miss him on the weekends, he made wonderful breakfasts for us. He really looked after me and his mother. In his easy way, he just took care of everything for us. I find that I really hate to do the laundry, washing is OK, it's folding and putting away that takes time. Taking out the garbage is hard, I never seem to remember to do that on Sunday night. Sometimes I wheel the big can to the curb and then I forget the recycle bin. Winter is really annoying, I don't have the driveway plowed so wheeling that can is very hard to do, I have to put it in the car trunk and drive it out to the curb. Tom would get a big charge out of that. The one thing I want people to know is to cherish your family every day, believe me, life is very different without them. We had 42 years together, with its share of ups and downs but we loved and endured through it all. I am glad he got to see & enjoy Hunter's first son, Cayden, but it will be sad he won't be here when any future children are born. While it is true, life does go on, but it isn't as much fun. All my love..
