Thomas DUFFY

Called Tom at the Liquor Department. Told secretary I was a friend. "Yeah right" she says. I rattle off St Joan of Arc Fordham Jackson Heights Hawks hockey his brother and father. She laughs and apologizes says "Do you know how many people claim to be Tom´s "friend?"

Not a day goes by that we don't think of you. This last year has been a sad one but we always tell stories of all the funny things you said and did when we are together. You were the best man, husband, father, brother and son. They broke the mold after you Dad. I was beyond blessed to have you for 50 years.

I think about him often and miss him very much

Tom and I played baseball & hockey & softball together. He was a fabulous catcher with a killer arm and the center on the Jackson Heights Hawks. Tom was my ROTC buddy at Fordham and taught me how to drive in his dads black Buick. Smart classy guy and a great friend.

I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing which was noted in the Fordham Magazine. May you all be comforted by lasting happy memories of this fine and gentle man. The last time I saw Tom was at his brother Ed's funeral in NYC, October 2019. A sad moment made brighter by Tom's cheerful recollections of his brother. Rest easy Tom.

Tom was a wonderfully sweet Renaissance man and totally loved by us.

Tom was a wonderful human being and a great person to be with. Marcy & I will surely miss his great sense of humor and his profound ethics.

Tom is as good a man as I have ever known. Words like honorable, strong, caring and loyal are not powerful enough to describe the magnitude of these traits in him. His greatness as a lawyer are outshined by his stature as a human being. He was my dear friend for more than a half century and I will miss him a lot.

Miss you so much Dad. Never met a person who was more patient or more loved by so many people. You were kind to everyone. You were one in a million and we were beyond blessed to call you ours. Your four girls love you and miss you.

Imagine the best person in the world, then imagine someone better. That person was my Dad. I was so blessed and I will miss him every day.

Tom was a lifelong colleague and friend. He was among the finest lawyers I’ve ever know in my nearly 50 years of legal practice. He was also kind and compassionate; he was a true gentleman.
