I cannot begin to tell you all how Sorry I am that Tom has passed.I have not seen him since we were young Boy,s here in Indiana.I know in my Heart how much His Father and Mother loved us.And I remember it fondly.I know that God will welcome him into his Kingdom.And wipe all our tears away.Rest in Peace Tom.

Susan, it was with great sadness I learned of Tom's death today from our old friend, Chuck Stripling. You don't know me, but Tom, Chuck and I grew up together on Poinsettia Drive, and I have a lot of fond memories of those years (it is a miracle we never fell out of his tree house and broke our necks). I have always wondered over the years how Tom was doing, and I was glad to hear about the positive impact he had on many lives.

I am so saddened by the loss of another friend. Susan, I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend and husband. I am praying for you and all the people that loved Tom!! He is in Heaven talking to Durrell. I can only imagine what they are talking about, but I bet it is a talk about how they love God and are blessed to be at their eternal home. Diane Effinger Reiland

Although we did not know Tom personally, reading his story, the Scripture so obviously popped out: "They asked each other, 'Didn't our hearts burn within us as [Jesus] talked with us on the Road [to Emmaus] (Luke 24:32) So, as one who was open to the Holy Spirit of Love & Life, Tom's spiritual eyes were opened as he was given the Gift that would bring fulfillment to his mission in life. God loved Tom so much that he was also blessed with the greatest two partners in the world to help him reach "the Goal set before him." His wife Susan & his other best friend, Bob Dykes. On top of that were a son and grandchildren! It just doesn't get any better than that in this life! What an outstanding witness to the Power of allowing God's Will to direct one's life!
It has to be so sad to lose such a brother, but so phenomenal knowing who he was and is in God's Kingdom! Shalom! Susan & Jane

Such heartbreaking news to hear of the passing of Pastor Tom. My prayers are with Susan and family, Fellowship UMC, Cross Bayou Emmaus, and all those who love Tom and were impacted by his earthly presence. May you find peace in the coming days.

Sweet Susan...I was so saddened to read about your precious Tom in the paper today. I remembered how kind he was in putting in the ramp for Elizabeth during her illness. You and your family will be in my prayers as you go through this time of grief. Love in Christ

Pastor Tom will be greatly missed. He was ana amazing man and Pastor. He was amazing to all of us that worked in the learning center. The kids loved him also especially the preschool and pre-k room. Tom was one of my favorite people. He was a caring man and we had many Emmaus times together. He loved everyone and was a great man. He will me missed by so many people. I am sorry and prayers go out for Susan and the family. Bobby and Judy Graham.

Susan, what a feeling of loss when I learned of Tom's death. I so enjoyed working with him at North Highlands. His spiritual leadership will be missed in the many ways he ministered to those lives he touched. I still have many memories of our trips down to Mexico. May God's love and comfort be with you.

Tom worked for me at AT&T for a number of years. Tom was a very good person as you say he always was helping someone at the plant. I know what ever he was doing for God, he was doing a good job.
Sorry to her about his passing and sorry for Tom's family and friends. I will keep you in my prayers also.

I never knew Tom but knew his lovely and beautiful wife Susan, worked with her. Many thoughts and our prayers are with her and her son as she goes thru this trying time. May God bless them.

Tom and I served together on the last Men's Walk to Emmaus. My partner in ministry in the Shreveport UMC District and brother in Emmaus, he has impacted my life in a powerful way in our too brief friendship.

Sweet Susan...I was so shocked and saddened upon reading Tom

Dungan family, I met Tom as a visitor at the little Methodist church in Haughton. I so enjoyed hearing he and Susan preach and visiting with them. Many hearts are broken at this sad news... yet Heaven rejoices. Your will continue to be in our prayers.

Tom visited with my father, Elvin Mellinger, on so many occasions during his stay in retirement homes and during Dad's hospital stays. Tom meant so much to Dad and words can never express our gratitude for this endearing friendship. Luke 22: 24-30 I am among you as one who serves.
To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that you will find comfort and peace.
