Thomas Eccles Obituary
June 30, 1963 - March 13, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas J. "Tom" Eccles, who left us on March 13, 2025, at the age of 61, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 30, 1963, Tom was the son of the late Thomas Eccles and Joyce Keller-Eccles.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, and his family was always at the heart of everything he did. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Eccles; his cherished children, Jacqueline Eccles, Rory Green, Jason Green, Megan Green, Jessica Jenkins, Jenn Luker, and Nicole McIntyre; his beloved sisters, Debra Cooper and Kym Eccles; and his 11 grandchildren, whose lives he touched with his warmth and affection.
For over three decades, Tom dedicated his career to working in Toms River, New Jersey, with a special focus on Ortley Beach. After retiring from his long career in Toms River, he continued to stay active, working at Laurita Winery and enjoying his time there. Tom also served the residents of Plumsted Township, where he worked for the Parks Building, and Grounds Department, contributing to the maintenance and beautification of the township. Tom's commitment to his community was unwavering, and he proudly served in various local organizations, including 4H, JSARS, and the Ocean County Fair, where he contributed countless hours of service.
Tom's warm, infectious personality was the heart of every gathering. Known for his sharp sense of humor and his generosity of spirit, he had a unique ability to make those around him laugh and feel at ease. His presence was one of light, joy, and comfort. In his free time, Tom enjoyed relaxing with his favorite television shows, including Fox News, sports events, and the History Channel.
Tom's kindness, laughter, and love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tom's honor at Laurita Winery, 85 Archertown Rd, New Egypt, NJ 08533, on June 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We invite all who knew him to join us in remembering the man whose spirit will never be forgotten.
May his memory bring peace and comfort to those who loved him.

Tom volunteered his time as a 4-H leader with Fancy Felines and Bow Benders 4-H clubs. He was extremely helpful to the 4-H program during the Ocean County Fair. This is my favorite picture of Tom and me having some fun with woodsy the owl at the fair about 12 - 14 years ago. Tom loved the fair and he enjoyed working with the Ocean County Youth. He certainly has paved his way into heaven. May he now rest in peace.

Tommy will be missed by all his family and friends including his nephew's Connor, Cullen and Henry Wilbert. Mu brother not only worked with my husband at the ice rink and parks&rec but he also worked with for many yrs with my father in law Russell Wilbert and I'm sure they're up there sharing stories.
The past few years Tom and I have traveled different paths in life and family celebrations grew less and less frequent but I find peace in knowing he's with
mommy celebrating her birthday today. TJ was a lot of things to a lot of different people but he'll always be my big brother and I'm thankful for the time we had.
Cullen misses you so much Tommy I hope you know that
