Thomas Michael "Tom" Ehlinger

Tom, you are so missed. I think about you often.

Seeing Tom's notice of passing printed in the St. Mary's Gold & Blue has grieved me. As you may recall, Tom and I were very close friends from grade school on through college. Marilyn and I pray for his soul and all souls faithfully departed.

We hope you are doing well, and perhaps can see you sometime.

Dear Kathy, Melinda, Daniel and family, my condolences to you all during this difficult time! May God hold Tom in His loving arms! May God bless you all! My prayers are with you all. As Tom was our cousin and my brother Tom went before him to heaven, may they be reunited. Love always!

My Aunt Pat and Uncle Herman always talked highly of Tommy and Ernie. They were so proud of them both. Always sharing pictures, recordings and stories with my mom and dad. Tommy was my dad's sister Aunt Pat's son. I'm sure Tommy was respected greatly by all people in his life and community. RIP cousin Tommy

He was an amazing man and always kind and very helpful when I asked for advice. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you Kathy and family.

COL Thomas M Ehlinger was a tremendous asset to have on the staff of the HISD JROTC sponsored summer camps and summer workshops. Despite his rank, COL Ehlinger was always willing to roll up his sleeves and help out in any given situation. He was, for many years, a positive influence on the lives of his JROTC students and the thousands of students and staff members at his school over the years. A person of his caliber will be hard to replace and unquestionably missed.

Tom was an absolute gem of a man. He was very caring and loved his family. He will be greatly missed.

Col. Ehlinger made a sincerely profound impact on my life. I was among his first JROTC graduates in '03. His wisdom, guidance, and mentorship made me into a better person and he will never be forgotten. Condolences to his family.

A true solider for our country and a faithful warrior. May his soul rest in peace. He will be missed but we never lose our loved ones, we simply return them to our Heavenly Father after they accomplish their mission. Our condolences to the Ehlinger family...

I'm so saddened to hear that this world has lost one of the finest persons I know. He was such a kind, decent, good-hearted man and dedicated teacher to my son, daughter and daughter-in-law. He will be greatly missed!!!
