Tom was my oldest brother, Edward’s best and dearest friend. We shared many times together growing up and in the last few years of my brothers life. He was a very intelligent man and thoroughly enjoyed his company as Ed did. We all miss him!

Tom was everything you desired in a person and a surgeon-colleague and was an easy to get along with man. He served our community well and am proud to have have had him as a colleague here in northeastern Wisconsin.

Tom was my brother, Ed Harms, best friend. I loved Dr. Tom. He grew up with us in Sterling Il. Before my brother Ed passed a couple years prior, we shared many times together visiting brother Ed in "Hotel California" at my brothers home. Tom was a favorite of mine. So opposite of my brother Ed, but so interesting. They shared a life together from a very young age. I knew his brother Kevin in grade school and High school and spent time with Kevin when we both lived in Chicago. My mother and Tom's mother were friends in Sterling Il. Will miss him, like I miss Kevine and his mother Ann.

Tom was a great friend to and graduate of Newman High School. His intellectual curiosity, sense of humor, and appreciation of the arts was a true gift to all he knew. He was also a wonderful example of what it meant to be a good person, a fine son, brother, and friend. Rest in peace, Tom.

To all of you, the Finnegan family. We were so lucky to have him in our lives. Even though I was not fortunate to know him like others. He was my cousin and we did sail and laugh together and I will always remember that. Prayers are with you Dianne and family.

Our condolences to a lovely family who were a great asset to Manitowoc. We appreciated both Dr. Tom's professional skills and his company in social settings when our kids' paths crossed.

An excellent doctor and a great runner who could run uphill faster than I could run downhill. R.I.P.

What a wonderful obit for a wonderful man.
Tom was--believe it or not--my student at UW Manitowoc. He still remains the only physician ever to enroll in my Bioethics class, and needless to say, was my best student.
He was funny, studious, respectful, curious, and self-effacing, which is remarkable given his professional and athletic accomplishments. When we reconnected recently it was as if the years had just vanished--what a treasure of a man.

Dr. Finnegan had the qualities that an Anesthesia
Provider like myself appreciated--patience. On call case- he would be in the lounge -reading-waiting for Anesthesia and surgery to notify him when they were ready. He always acknowledged other folks and seem to have more than a simple hello to say to them. I can't ever personally recall him raising his voice, even in the OR, which is saying something, especially for a surgeon
Every. year, I would hit him up to purchase a Xmas wreath to support the Appalachian Service Project, I was involved in and he kindly did so even after he retired.
In the mix of our interactions , we would share stories of kids, running, and biking. He certainly had more to add then I on the final two topics.
Glad I had the opportunity to meet you, Tom
Finnegan.
