Eugene Smith

Eugene Smith, 87, Harrisburg, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, Willie and Kathryn Smith; sister, Jacqueline Flurry; wife, Carolyn D. Chestnut Smith; daughter, Eugenia Smith; and son, Ivan Smith. Throughout his career, he fulfilled various roles and was employed in multiple health and state facilities. He was a Jehovah's Witness at the Mount Pleasant Congregation. Surviving are his loving children, Marc Henderson, Eric Smith (Angelia), Vada Preston and Denise Smith; stepdaughters, Roslyn and Michelle Geary; special nephew, Jeffrey Banks; doting grandchildren, Jessica Burnett, Andre Clayton, Markeia Gordan, Nichole Henderson, Tennisha Plummer, Arionn, LaPorscha and Xavier Preston, Ayshia, Erica, Janay, Sergio, Sharell and Tiffani Smith, Leonard and Leondra Smith-Manning; 28 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. A public viewing will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Wallace Funeral Directors.
