ODE TO TOMMY
When a hot breeze blows in summer
When leaves all turn to red
When spring paints many shades of green, then Tommy's home again
When rapid water passes
In a stream that's filled with fish
When the moon comes streaming over
A snowy, brilliant drift
In a roughly hewn paddock
Where the horses run and graze
Are memories of Tommy
And his strong, outdoors man's ways
On a mountain, with a rocky base
A path to challenge most
You will find our brother Tommy
He is there - he'll help you cope
That path became too narrow
His pain was ever worse
And so, he laid his burdens down
And returned to the earth.
A man of great adventure
All nature he embraced
And now you have him here with you
In each great outdoor space
So when you breathe the cool night air
Or walk a tree-lined path
Just know that our dear Tommy's near
He's peaceful; rest at last.
Written by our dear friend, Heather S.
We will never forget you Tommy and miss you each and every day. Love you always and forever. Momo xoxo

We would like to express our condolences to the Green Family. We are so very sorry for this huge loss.
I Still find it difficult to write down what Is in my heart that would do justice when speaking of Tom. By far and beyond the best friend that had graced my life. Tom was a giver. Tom gave so much to myself and my family and did so in many ways. My son and daughter loved to visit with Tom. He loved life so very much! When stricken with Health problems Tom worked very hard every day to over come them and get back to his "color full life". Tom sure had a special way about him. Always that twinkle in his eye ready for adventure. Tom wanted to do so many more things in his life time.....together we had made plans for that. A true cowboy at heart, and a hard worker in life. Truly and always missed by the Kinvigs. In your own words Tom." I love ya like a Man" We miss you very much Tommy. RIP

I have just learned, moments ago, of Tom's passing and am humbled and sincere when I write to the Green family of my sincere condolences. And,that I was indeed blessed to have known him, if only for a short period of his life, during high school. I will never forget (infact I was actually thinking about Tom just last week while watching my home team back up in Ottawa, Canada play in the Stanley Cup finals)trodding off - by bus - to watch Tom play hockey at the civic center - what a recruiter of fans he was! Know this, his admirable qualities have always been fond memories for me and always will. I've no doubt he did you all, that had the privilege of knowing him for the years that followed, proud. My sincere condolences.

It is with a heavy heart I expresse my most sincere sympathy to Tom's family. I would like to at this time, tell you what a wonderful caring, honorable man he was. Such a handsome young man, and genuinely interested in whatever one spoke to him about. I was a resident of Fort Nelson, when Tom was a Police officer here, and what a wonderful person for young adults and teenagers. He took an honest interest in what the youth did, whether it be sports or academics, and always there to lend a helping hand.God Bless you Tom, and be at peace.Remembering you always, Kathryn Hyndman & Children

Our sincerest condolences to Tom's family. It was a great shock to hear of his passing. He was very outspoken and could always make you laugh. He shared hunting stories with my husband and knew about my parents lodge in the Yukon and would have visits at the Ft Nelson Post Office when he was in town. He could always Give you a good chuckle when you needed it or a few kind words when you were down. Such a tragedy and will be missed dearly.

To the Green Family.
It is with sadness i write as I learned of Tom's passing recently from Ann. Tom and I go back to Dec 31, 1990. I was a wet behind the ears recruit heading from Depot to the bright lights of Fort Nelson BC. My first shift as a mountie was 22 years ago (tonight) and I was riding shot gun with Tom on a night shift.
For approx 4 months i worked beside him on all kinds of files and learned a lot from him as he was a good cop and trainer. He was also a good person.
My heart goes out to Ann and Clinton for their loss as well as too the others in Tom's family I did not know.
