My Deepest sympathies to the Harris Family. In the short time I worked for Tom in the mid-nineties always found him to be a perfect gentleman and very nice person. Was a shock to hear of his passing.

It was with shock and sadness that we learned of Tom's passing. He was always so kind to Dorothy and myself and we share in the family's loss as do so many others. Tom was one of the good ones and it was a privilege to know him. Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. Tom will be missed but remembered by all of us.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Harris family. As a business owner and manager on Vancouver Island for over 40 years I was always amazed at Tom's ability to handle the ups and downs of our business climate. I know what he went through and how difficult it can be. He always seemed to be able to maintain a possible outlook no matter what. I only viewed him from a distance like many others but respected his ability to stay positive.
I have been thinking a lot about Christine and Jack as I knew both of you well when I was in Nanaimo visiting or living, back in our younger days. I am very sorry about Tom's passing. It came far too soon.

Condolence to the Harris Family. Tom was a great businessman but more importantly a great person. His leadership was always about doing the right thing in the long-term and connecting with people. It was a great privilege to work with Tom and an even greater privilege to know his friendship. The night of his induction into the Lifetime Achievement Award circle from the New Car Dealers Association of BC was magical. With great sadness

My deepest sympathies to the Harris Family. I was Tom's first General Motors District Sales Manager when he became a GM dealer in 1983. I always enjoyed my contacts with Tom. I know he will be missed.

Tom was a real down to earth gentleman. He really had forward thinking and in the 80's he had several of us come in to his GM dealership in Nanaimo to do sales and management training, after a very successful and busy day in the dealership he invited all of us out as his guest for dinner. He was always super positive and enthusiastic and unafraid to embrace new ideas and methods. Tom you will be missed by many truly a man of your word. now get that new place organized and keep some seats at the boardroom table,as I'm sure we will all be along at some point. Cheers !
My condolences to the Harris family on your loss.

As a young man in early 1970 Tom had a plaque on the wall behind his desk that read mans heaviest burden is great potential. Tom carried the burden well and admirably fulfilled that potential. With Sadness Michael Mason

Tom was a wonderful person. We enjoyed our visits on his boat "Tombouy" when he was moored at the Victoria inner harbour. Or when we see saw him up at Mudge island. There was always time for Tom to sit and have a chat with us. His smile and love for life will be in our hearts forever. Our love and condolences to Auntie Evelyn and family.

Condolences to the family. When I think of Tom, I think of one who would look you right in the eye, he was a man of integrity, vision, and convictions. He deserved his success.
