Mr. Haselden was born in Scranton, a son of the late Lawrence D. and Juliette Cox Haselden. He retired from CSX Railroad as a Rail Supervisor after 36 years of service. He was a member of Scranton United Methodist Church, church treasurer and member of the Fred Parrott Sunday School Class. He was a Mason, member of Lake City Lodge No. 193 A.F.M., and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dennis Haselden of Scranton; four daughters, Denise H. (Glen) Ruthven of Lake City, Carolyn K. Humphrey and Shelby K. (LaRue) Kirby, both of Scranton, and Deloris K. (Delano) James of Coward; two brothers, Julian C. Haselden and Carl E. Haselden, both of Scranton; two sisters, Evelyn H. Gibbons of Turbeville and Louise H. Boyd of
Kingstree; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maxine K. Jowers, and two brothers, Carol J. Haselden and Davis Haselden.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in Scranton United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Scranton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 159, Scranton, SC 29591.
The family will have visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
