Thomas Hatton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 25, 2018.
Hatton, Thomas "Tom" Edward, 84, of Largo, Florida, passed away on January 24, 2018. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. He was the son of the late Arthur (Toby) and Maude Hatton.

Tom retired as Deputy Chief after 30 years of service from the City of Knoxville Fire Department. He attended Rule High School and joined the Navy during the Korean War.

Tom enjoyed his time on Norris Lake and the Intracoastal Waterway at his home in Florida. He was an avid Volunteer fan. Go Vols! He enjoyed the Florida Keys, days spent on the boat and jet skis, days that ended with Happy Hour, NASCAR, and cruises to the islands with his wife, Linda. Tom will be remembered for making people laugh and his ability to captivate an audience with his storytelling.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; John (Mick) Hatton and Joe Hatton and sister; Barbara Hatton. Survivors include his loving wife; Linda Hatton and his children; Barbara Ann Hill, Edward Hatton, Joseph Hatton, Michael Hatton and Kristy Bryant. Grandchildren Joshua Hatton, Jenny Maughon, Jessica Townsend, Allysun Hatton-Bannister, Cory Thompson and Matthew Hatton, many great grandchildren and the entire Cunningham family. Tom will also be missed by his beloved eighteen year old Talking African Grey Parrot: Polly.

A private service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Serenity Funeral Home, Largo, Florida.
