Enjoyed your company and skiing with you. Had a great sense of humor and kind heart. You will be sadly missed.

What a great guy. I always had a good time when I was with Tom. And we had many. I'll miss you, Tom.

Tom was a great friend and fun guy to grow up with. I will never forget his contagious laugh. He always made things a little more exciting and fun. We had a great time skiing in high school and beyond. JB's ski picture sums it all up. We will miss you Tom.

"Are you John Barina, the Skier?" "Yes", I replied. "I'm Tom Heisa ; Can you teach me how to ski?" Within two seasons on the slopes, Tom had become beyond an Expert Skier. Plus, we had become good friends, the best of friends.
We headed West several times, in his bedragled Plymouth Fury (The "PLYM") and skied the Rockies; Vail, Aspen, Snowbird, just to name a few. All along the way, Tom was also teaching me. His unbridled love of life taught me to cherish every day; a lesson often reinforced by his contagious smile and wacky sense of humor.
If you knew Tom, you are among those lucky enough to be blessed with his memory. To those who did not; how do you describe the joy of a spectacular sunrise, the warm breath of a soft breeze on a sunny day, a surreal watercolor sunset ?
In His infinate wisdom, Our Father made Heaven an even better place by inviting Tom to enter for eternitiy; reminding me of a credence that Tom and I often shared:
"Man's reach must forever exceed his grasp, or what's a Heaven for ?"

It was so much fun growing up with Tommy on Ruby Ave. He had such a beautiful smile and we had laughs! One adventure was he had a group of guys camping in a tent in his backyard in 7th grade. I had a slumber party -we used to run across neighbors back yards to each other´s yards. That particular eve, the boys were asleep and us girls grabbed pepper cans and squirty mustard, unzipped their tent and had a field day!!!
