THOMAS HENNEN Obituary
Of Bloomfield on Sunday, March 3, 2013, age 94. Beloved husband of the late Anne R. (Legler) Hennen; father of Thomas R. Hennen (Darlene) and Lynda Stiger (Thomas); grandfather of Emily Hanser (Al) and Rachel Stiger; great- grandfather of Jacob, Abigail and Lucy Hanser; brother of John E. Hennen (Helen) and the late Kathryn Beard (the late James), and William Hennen (the late LaVerne); also survived by nieces and nephews. Tom served in the US Navy 107th Construction Battalion (Seabees) in the South Pacific during WWII. He also ran in several Pittsburgh marathons, the last one at the age of 70 and witnessed Ralph Kiner's home run, one of the longest ones hit out of Forbes Field. Friends received at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOME, 5300 Penn Avenue, Bloomfield, on Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Vincentian de Marillac Nursing Home, 5300 Stanton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 or Bridges Hospice, 1200 Gulf Lab Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
