longtime Farmington Hills, Mi. Ford Dealer passed away at his Naples, Florida winter home on May 19, 2006 following a brief illness. Born July 5, 1929, Holzer was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean conflict. Following stints at dealerships in Toledo and Detroit, he opened Tom Holzer Ford, Farmington Hills, Michigan in 1974. Working along side of him in the business, his wife, Constance and many of his children, together built the dealership into one of the nation's largest and most successful Ford dealerships. Thomas (Buzzy) Holzer, his son and current Director of Operations of the dealership voiced his happiness that his father had lived to see the completion of the brand new facility.
