To Teri, Brett and Kelly, my heartfelt condolences to each of you. I share your pain. Toms passing has left a gaping hole in my heart. I will never forget the many years of friendship and love. I always hoped he'd "Save The Best For Last"....well maybe it will be someday in the great beyond!

I am so glad I heard about his illness in time to speak to him on the phone from Florida. Because I didn't make it back in time to see him.

God Bless Your Soul Tom...now you have found the peace you were always seeking. I'll love ya forever, my Bud! Justine

Tom's Family ....

Please know that your dad is missed deeply and that he made an impact on the lives of many people, during in his short stay on this earth.

Tom's friendship was a gift that I will always cherish. He was a good soul and a good friend and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him and miss him.

I've lost both of my parents and I wish I had the magic words to make your pain disappear, but there is no such word. Each day, will get easier, but the hole in your heart will never go away... We just learn to accept our world without him.

My love to each of you,

TJING; I finally figured out what that screen name means. (initials). I met tom in Trumbul CT a few years ago at a AOL party. His first words to me were "your almost as good looking as I am". I thought that was outragously funny. Over the years most of our conversations were about fishing and women. I must say Tom had a zest for both, wich we both had in common. He lived and he lived well. We were talking about getting together one day for a fishing trip. I am sad that we wont be going on that trip but you will be with me in thought and spirit Tom. God Bless.

The Ingenito family & friends:

May this poem comfort you in some small way,

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt to dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,

Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth-

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home:

Oh' the rapture of that meeting,

Oh' the joy to see you come!

"May the Lord bless you and keep you: May He make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you: May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." (Num.6:24-26)

Dear Ingenito Family,

Please know that my prayers are with you as you go through this most difficult time. Tom was a good guy, and he will be missed and remembered by many. God Bless you.

In my brief interactions with you Tom, he impressed me with his intellect, he made me laugh with his irrreverent wit, he made me smile with his observations and challenged me to think deeply about issues I might never ponder.

People like this are refreshing to the tired, inspirational to the disillusioned and encouraging to the insecure. Cheers to you, Tom. You did what so few of us get to do - realize in us and in others the potential that lies within. Your impact on others'lives will live on in all of us.

Like many of us who have signed this guest book we came to know Tom as an on line friend with a great sense of humor and a zest for life. I came to know Tom in person and found he was all that and more, bright and generous and wise and gentle. He loved his family deeply and thought of them in every act he took.

Tom and I were also the same age, and we often reflected on how the common experiences of our generation allowed us to understand and relate to each other quickly. I will miss him greatly.

THAT MAN IS A SUCCESS

who has lived well,

laughed often and loved much;

who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children;

who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;

who leaves the world better

than he found it,

whether by an improved poppy,

a perfect poem or a rescued soul; who never lacked appreciation

of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had.

Tom, I'm getting ready to say something and i know you are watching.

Tonight I was thinking about that trip to the casino we never took.

Or the diving trip we wont get to take.

It occurs to me how I walk down the streets, seeing without seeing, hearing without hearing.

Some people say the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Tom, I think you proved them wrong - you mastered both. You looked and saw, you heard and listened. You cared. You made me laugh.

Its pretty clear to me that when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

And It seems to me you have lived your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

I am gonna miss you bud.

Teri ( Daughter) Ingenito

March 23, 2005

When I was little, my dad's hands seemed as if they could hold the world. If I measured my palm against his, I couldn't help but marvel at the difference. To me, they were so big, so strong. How could a daughter feel anything but safe with hands like that to guide her? He was the first guy to ever love me. First to sweep me off my feet or plant those scratchy whisker kisses gently on my cheek. First man to take me seriously. The first friend I ever had. When I was a little girl I loved you so much for you were as strong and smart as you could be. No matter what the problem was, I knew you'd make it all ok. You always were what "hero" meant to me. And looking back I'm grateful now for all the things you did, the plans you put on hold or rearranged. I always felt that you would be a friend I'd have forever. You should know today, Dad, nothing's changed. We can't know why some things happen, but we can know that love and beautiful memories outlast the pain of grief. And we can know that there's a place inside the heart where love lives always and where nothing beautiful can ever be forgotten. If there is anything I have learned it is that nothing beautiful and amazing in this world is ever really lost. Those I cherish will always live on in memory. " I Love You Daddy"

Although I did not know Tom as long as most of his online friends, and never did meet him in person, his friendship for just a few months will be cherished in my mind, and heart always.

His clever humor in the chat room, mixed with his intelligent conversation in private, is what made him unique!

Our friendship took off because we both shared having sons in the military whom had served in Iraq. His excitement was exhilarating that Brett was coming home soon.

Tom was easy to talk to, and was a great listener, but never ceased to share his life expericences ie: talker too. LOL His honesty was profound in his words, and how he lived his life.

I will miss him, but mostly I will miss knowing him longer. Sheesh..just when I found someone I could truly be myself with, and have a sincere friendship without expectations..he leaves me!

I am very fortunate to have known him, not just of him.

Tom is one whom will live on in our thoughts, hearts, and words..this I am sure of.

With Great Fondness,

Kathleen aka Miintherightroom <3

God didn't promise

Sun without rain.

Joy without sorrow,

Peace without pain.

But God promised

Strength for the day,

Rest for the labor,

Light for the way,

Grace for the trials,

Help from above,

Unfailing sympathy,

Undying love.

You Have Meant So Much

It’s hard to think in the past

I’m now too selfish for that

We both knew our friendship would last

Our brains connected the day we met.

We were both the others conscience

In many ways we thought alike

If things happen that I am not sure of, I may seek your advice

Hopefully I will not make any choices you dislike

Your smile always warmed our hearts

Your laugh would resonate a room

I would gives hugs and anything

To have you well, here, in your crayon “costume”

You have been a part of my family

This weekend Nikki apologized for kicking you in the shin

Although this happened ten years ago when she was a little imp

She talked about the Mercedes ride and all her memories with that usual devilish grin

We were all there holding your hand

You knew Michelle was scared

Billy, Paul and I were proud to know a man so grand

We talked for hours about all that we had shared

Thank you to all of your family

For sharing your time with us

Wonderful, gracious and all that they could be

They carried on with dignity while knowing your distress

You know a piece of our hearts are with you

You will never be forgotten

I will always check on your kids to see what they are up to

Your “presence” in us will always live on…

Love Paul, Deb, Nikki, Billy and Michelle

Tom, I know that you have found the glory. I know there is not more pain, just beauty. I was graced with our meeting. I was honored. You were truly a gentleman. Dearly missed. Rest in peace.

My husband and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Tom's family. I had the good fortune of knowing Tom when he oversaw all operations at CEI (Westport Precision). As Viet Nam veterans, Tom and my husband instinctively, shared a camaraderie that all those who served could understand. Tom will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Tom...being your business partner for 13 years, but more importantly your friend for 20 years, I was very familiar with your strong will, the will to succeed in any endeavor, and your perseverence...but in my eyes I will best remember you as a loving , caring, father who was there for his children 24/7/365 and as a friend I could count on at any time. God bless you on your next journey.
