Thomas J. Fittin III

Thomas J. Fittin, III, 55, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Born April 9, 1970, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Tom was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore. He grew up in Spring Lake and later lived in Point Pleasant. An avid surfer and devoted Grateful Dead fan, he felt happiest by the ocean.

He was the proud owner of Fittin Construction LLC, where he poured his heart into every project and was known for his willingness to help others.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sheree Severini-Fittin, and his daughters, Amanda and Cierra Fittin-the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his mother, Nancy Fittin of Wall; his sisters, Kathleen Doran and Colleen (William) Brown; nieces and nephews, Caitlin Brown, Christina (Christopher) Ritter, William D. Brown, Sean, Michaela, and Caden Wood; great-nephews, Finn and Wells Ritter; and sister, Christine Martignetti and family. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas J. Fittin, Jr.

Tom will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his animated storytelling, his boundless heart, and the genuine way he made people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Church in Spring Lake on Friday, August 29th, at 10:00 a.m.
