Columbus, GA- Thomas Allan Jackson 53, of 2300 16th Avenue, Columbus passed Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, May 29, 2015 at Greater Ward Chapel AME Church 1330 Talbotton Road with the Pastor Rev Conitras M. Houston Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft Mitchell, AL with full military honors according to Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 2919 Hamilton Road, Columbus. Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2015 from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at the church. Mr. Jackson was born July 24, 1961 in Seattle, WA to the late Jerry Ray and Margaret Cartwright Jackson II. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery J. Jackson. Thomas was a member of Greater Ward Chapel AME Church, attended Muscogee County Schools and retired from the United States Army. Survivors include his brother, Jerry Ray Jackson III; sisters, Frances Brooks and Pamela Huff, all of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and dear friends.
