Thomas Jalbert Obituary

Thomas Jalbert October 24, 1923 - August 4, 2007. After a courageous battle with cancer, Tom passed away peacefully on August 4, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Thelma; daughters Sherry Cartlidge, Wendy (Doug) Ouellette; son Guy (Kathy) Loyer, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, mother, 1 sister, and 4 brothers. A celebration of Tom's life will be held in the Sapperton Pensioner's Hall at 318 Keary St. on Thursday August 9, 2007 from 1 - 4pm. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fraser Valley Cancer Clinic or Queen's Park Care Centre Hospice Unit. The family would like to thank the staff at Queen's Park Hospice ward for their wonderful care and Dr. D. Klarke for her never ending kindness and support. Columbia - Bowell 604-521-4881

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I will miss you Grandpa Tom. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
