Thomas Lemieux

LEMIEUX, Thomas 85 years, of Tilbury, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Beloved husband of Henrietta (LeBoeuf) of 59 years. Loving father of Michael and Jill (Cowan) Lemieux of Tilbury, Pat and Sandra (Breault) Lemieux of Tilbury, Kathy and Allan Cottingham of Tilbury, Susan and Gene Goodreau of Tilbury, Bev Beggs of Tilbury, David and Lynn (Tudor) Lemieux of Scarborough, Fran and Rick Taylor of Tilbury, Tom Lemieux of Tilbury, Linda and D'Arcy Lucas of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy (Pussum) and late husband Raymond Schram, Harry and Monique Lemieux. Dear brother-in-law of Leona (Jean) and late husbands Raymond LeBoeuf and Evart Hope, late Bernadette and late husband (Wayne) Harris, late Lawrence and late wife Shirley (Moody) LeBoeuf, Margaret and late husband Bertram Greenacre, Rene and Margaret (St. Denis) LeBoeuf, Monique and Harry Lemieux, late Catherine and late Les Baughman, Jim and Annette LeBoeuf, Romeo and Joan LeBoeuf, Charlie and late wife Lorena LeBoeuf. Tom served in the Royal Canadian Army during WWII, was vice-president of W.H. Olsen Manufacturing, was an employee of Bombardier, and retired from ITT (Guelph) in 1985. Tom was a founding member of Tilbury Golf and Curling Club and Tilbury Memorial Arena, a member of Tilbury Royal Canadian Legion Branch 206, former member of Tilbury Town Council, a former Trustee of Kent County School Board, and was a recipient of Centennial Citizen of the Year in 1967. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and at St. Francis Xavier Church, 32 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday. Funeral Mass to commence at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Francis Xavier Church Building Restoration Fund appreciated.
