Thomas Malinowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 9, 2025.
Aiken - Thomas Victor Malinowski passed peacefully into the next life to be with his Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ in the early hours of September 6. He leaves his sweetheart and best friend,

Celeste, with whom he shared 60 years of love and devotion in marriage. He also leaves his

three beloved children, Lisa (Malinowski) Kader, Richard Malinowski and Nathan Malinowski,

and their respective spouses, Ali, Ruth, and Christine. He was blessed with eight beautiful

grandchildren and one precious great granddaughter. He also leaves a brother Larry and his

wife Marty of Sedgwick ME and was predeceased by his brother Michael.

Tom was born June 2, 1941, in South Weymouth MA to his parents Mary and Victor Malinowski.

He grew up in Abington in a house steeped in Polish traditions and good food. He credited his

parents and grandparents for his no nonsense work ethic. Tom graduated from Abington High

School and attended Northeastern University before switching to Stonewall College where he

and Celeste found each other and bonded over Father Lockary's physics class experiments.

They married in 1965 and eventually settled in East Bridgewater.

Tom taught math for many years at Brockton High School where he became quite active and

involved with the local teachers union, the BEA, while also working part time at a local

supermarket. He was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Parish Council at St. John the

Evangelist Church in East Bridgewater.

After retirement, Tom and Celeste discovered the beautiful town of Aiken SC and relocated

there in 2008. Tom found his niche in the Master Gardener program. They settled in a lovely

community of Cedar Creek with neighbors who are like family. He and Celeste became faithful

parishioners of St. Mary Help of Christians Church.

For those wishing to make donations, the family would suggest The Michael J. Fox Foundation

and the Alzheimer's Association.
