Tom was the guy you hoped was with you when things needed to get done because you knew he had your back. We were in Afghanistan as part of a smaller group to assist with asset turn over to relieve the current squadron. It was cold as hell with snow everywhere. Tom and I got our butts ripped by our Sergeant for something I can't remember. What I do remember is Tom's sense of humor after that. We walked up and down that flight line in the snow and couldn't feel our toes or fingers, but we were cracking jokes the entire time. Maybe it was trauma bonding, who knows haha. Tom said something and it made us laugh so hard that we were crying. The kind of hard laugh that makes you cough and have a runny nose toward the end. That's what I'll remember. When I think of Tom, every memory I have are filled with jokes, laughter and smiles. It pains me to think that he's gone.

Thank you Tom for your friendship, the memories and brotherhood. You were a big part of my small circle that kept me going back then.

To Barbata and Andrew,
Very sorry for your loss of Thomas at such a young age but he sure packed a lot in the years he was alive. May his memory live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones and friends.

I was a flight student at Epic Flight Academy and got a part-time job working in the maintenance hanger while I was attending flight training. That is where I met Tom. Like him, I am also a USMC veteran, so Tom and I hit it off immediately. I ALWAYS enjoyed his company and our time together working at Epic. Although I only worked with Tom on/off for a few months, he really made an impression on me. He was always funny, was quick witted, and always on the lookout to make everyone laugh. In many ways he was like a character in your favorite comedy movie. My GF came to visit me in FL, late summer of 2023, and I wanted to show her where I was working while attending flight training. I took her to the hanger and while I wanted her to meet everyone, I especially wanted her to meet Tom. He was truly a special person, a special man. I was shocked to learn of his passing, and wish I could have had one more conversation with him! Tom, wherever you are, you are missed my friend.

Barb,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Thomas. You and Andrew are in my thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed when you would take a moment to share with me about your boys when were working at JFK together. You would always have a smile and laugh when talking about Thomas. Wishing you peace.

Barbara and Andrew: I read this sad news
I know your heart must ache for such a difficult loss. I remember us spending time after school at Bridge Street, watching our kids (Iz, Andrew, Thomas) play in the yard. He got a lot of life into his 3 years and I hope he rests in peace and you both find some as well.

I'll never forget laying the floor of my house at midnight with Tom after he filled the house with smoke trying to make bagel bites. We both laughed until it hurt. That was how it was with him a lot. Absolutely crazy, but joyous and unforgettable.
