I babysat for Tom and siblings as a teenager. Our fathers worked together, and we spent time as families in Chetek. His parents continued to visit my mother in Florida after she moved here in 1978 so I got to see them usually at her Christmas party each December. Great memories with a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with Tom's family as they mourn him and celebrate his life. Sharon (Grilley) Wittren, Sarasota FL

I met Tom 40+ years ago when his State office and our CPA firm were next door to each other. He inspired me to become active in the WICPA. Tom was an optimist, a great leader, always jovial and even keeled (no pun intended). When we'd get together there were always pictures shared of big fish. I am lucky and fortunate to call Tom my friend.

The Mickelson family was very special to me and I have the fondest memories of Grace family campimg trips, pancake feeds, bombarding their family when we first moved to Eau Claire
Your mom was so gracious and poor Pete. You are now with your sweet parents.

We became neighbors with Tom and Becky a couple years ago and always enjoyed visiting with Tom. Even when he wasn´t feeling the best he always tried to have a smile on his face and keep the conversation going. He will be missed.

I met Tom years ago when I was communications director for the WICPA. I knew him to be friendly, likable and always cheerful. He was an active member and served on many committees as well as the WICPA board of directors from 2000 to 2002. I was sad to see his obituary and will be adapting it for our magazine, On Balance, which I am once again editor of. I know Tom will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
