Thomas F. Nealon Jr.

Nealon, Thomas F. Jr. SCOTIA Thomas F. Nealon Jr., 78, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Baptist Nursing Center. Tom was born in Schenectady to the late Thomas and Harriet Nemecek Nealon and was a lifelong area resident. He worked at KAPL as a technical specialist for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Tom served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for 20 years. He was a member and past district deputy in the Elks Lodge. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Mary Flanagan Nealon who died in 2018. He is survived by three children, Mary Guss of Schenectady, William (Patty) Nealon of Gloversville and Thomas (Nanette Connor) Nealon of Halfmoon; a sister, Barbara Zampella of Amsterdam; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a nephew, Matthew Zampella of Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Monday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, First Street, Scotia. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
