Thomas Hugh O'Hara age 67, passed on Dec 31, 2023 in Golden, Colorado.
He was born Nov 19, 1956 to Monte Edward and Sharon Lynne (Brownell) O'Hara in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Monte E. O'Hara.
Tom attended Franklin Elementary and Wilson Junior High. He graduated in 1975 from Thomas Jefferson High School. He worked at the iconic Strand Theater.
He then followed his father and maternal grandmother's footsteps by working for Northwestern Bell until He retired in 2001 then Quest communications.
He resided in Osage Beach, MO and spent partial time in Colorado with Family.
Tom married his grade school and high school sweetheart Candice Ann Cox on May 15, 1977 and they had 3 sons. He loved his boys and was involved with their activities especially football and wrestling.
Tom's passion was boating, skiing and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed listening to his music on the deck overlooking the lake and watching the sunset from there. This was his happy place and where he boated many friends and relatives. He taught many to ski and fed them a great meal.
Tom is survived by his mother Sharon O'Hara and wife Candy O'Hara. His sons Tucker (Diane Schmidt) O'Hara, Cole (Emily) O'Hara & Nolan O'Hara. Siblings Monte C. (Debi) O'Hara, Heidi (Blake) McGill, Mollie O'Hara and Laura (Chris) Pawloski. Grandchildren Dylan O'Hara and Quinn O'Hara. Nieces and nephews; Zach O'Hara, Hayley (Travis) Wells, Olivia (Cliff) Antoine, Cayleb (Shay) Coffin, Gabbie (Spencer) Crumpton, Trevor (Caroline) O'Hara, Wyatt (Bonnie) Riddle, McKenna Riddle and Zoe Pawloski. Numerous Brownell and O'Hara family cousins and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. The family will direct memorials.
