I am so sorry to see this news and more sorry that it took me so long to type the words that lead me to this obituary. I knew his number was disconnected when I called, but I was hoping there was another explanation. I became friends with Tom at a diner in LA when his sister died. We shared a table as strangers but, like his loved ones stated, Tom never met a stranger. He was the easiest friend I ever made. We would meet at diners for the rest of our friendship and he always got a breakfast that looked like dessert. I attached a photo of us at the Griffith Observatory because it was a little drive we took on a whim when he said he had never seen it. I am so grateful God gave us our friendship. If you are Tom´s family, please know that he absolutely sparkled when he spoke about you. His brilliant children and his wonderful granddaughters were always a favorite topic of our conversations. He was so proud of your strength and character. Oh! And your singing. Can´t forget that!
My deepest sympathies,
Caroline Cummings (Curly)

Jeff you Dad loved good food and a good laugh. I would often offer to pay for our meal in lieu of a counseling fee as he would give me wise counsel with a grin and a hug.Heaven´s gain and our loss.
