Dear Mrs. Saltz and family:

Although we just met your husband/father at the rehab center this week, we could tell what a nice man he was and in the few days Joe spent talking to Tom, they had a lot in common and Joe enjoyed talking to him.

We are SOOOO sorry that this happened...nobody ever expects something like this to happen to someone so young. I just went through similar trauma with Joe and do understand how terrible this is.

I wish there was something I could say to ease your pain...however, please know our deepest sympathy is with your entire family.
