John Timothy "Tim" Barker
May 16, 1951- November 6, 2012

John Timothy "Tim" Barker was born May 16, 1951 in Lancaster, CA. He passed away November 6, 2012 at the Veteran's Community Living Center in Reno, NV. He was 61 years old. He is survived by his wife, Linda, four children, Melia Loskill, Jeffrey Holmes, David Barker (Connie), Regina Barker, one grandchild, Emily Grace, two brothers, Richard Barker (Delores), Jon Barker (Berenice), a nephew, Sam Taylor, and niece, Brianna Barker. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Barker.

Tim graduated from Anderson High School Class of 1969. He moved to Susanville in 1988 with his family to work for the California Department of Corrections. Tim was an artist and was involved with the Lassen County Arts Council as a potter. He also enjoyed fixing things and operated a handyman business for several years. Most of all, Tim was a dedicated family man who spent his life caring for his family. He will be missed beyond words.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 24, at the Assembly of God Church,
473-465 Richmond Road in Susanville, CA.

Words cannot express the how sorry I am to hear of the loss of your brother Tim.Although I had not seen him for quite a long time,I remember him as a very kind & handsome young man. I am sure your parents were very proud of him & so were the two of you.Please accept my most sincere condolence for your loss. My prayers are with you in this time of grief.
