Mr. Singer,
I’m heartbroken that you’re gone. They say God takes the best, so that must be why he took you. Whether it was hanging at your house or a school drop off, seeing you always made my day. I can hear saying “Hi Miss Vetland” as I walk into your house. You’re sitting on the recliner watching MASH. The kitchen tv has some crazy animal show playing, and I don’t understand how you like watching it. I always enjoyed sitting with you in the kitchen catching up. Seeing what location you were watching on the computer webcam. I hope it’s a boardwalk or an Irish pub, because those neighborhood views are pretty boring. It’s a perfect visit.
I’ll always cherish the time we spent together, whether it was a quick visit or a late night listening to Elvis & Lee. You always made me feel special. I’ll miss our Email exchanges and talks. I know I’ll think of you everyday, but especially on Veterans Day, when I hear an Elvis song, or see the flag. Our relationship was special and I’ll cherish it forever.
Love you always,
Katie Lee
