Cheryl, I am so sorry for your loss. Looking at the pictures here, I can see he was a man full of life and vigor. Hang on to those memories and I'm praying that you find peace and comfort in the days to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always.

Tommy was one of the happiest and most outgoing people I've met. He made me feel the same way in his presence. My sincere condolences to his family and the many, many people he touched in his life.

Cheryl and Boys, I offer my sincerest condolences. Tommy and I had just recently spoken via phone - discussed business and life events and laughed together. I always valued our relationship and we always had good times together. He was such a good man. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Cheryl and Family, Tommy was an amazing thoughtful man, I had the privilege to be on the HGA board with him. He has touched so many lives with kindness....and always put a smile on the faces of everyone he met. You and your family are in our prayers.

Y'all don't know me, but I was a huge fan and supporter of Tommy. He was an Awesome Man that had much respect and love in our industry. Tommy was able to bring together many people from vastly different backgrounds, to build a company with few customers into an industry leader. Without Tommy, his company would have never grown into the company it is now. This happened because Tommy took the time to make all of his customers feel special and important. Tommy was very loved and respected by all his customers (FRIENDS). He will be sorely missed by all of us who worked with him. All of Tommy"s friends in the business will be lost without him. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

Chery, Tanner and Taylor, I was so sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. I know he will be truly missed.

My husband & I moved to Houston from England in 2013-2016. I got involved volunteering for the SHO. Tommy was my leader, teacher & mentor. He also became my friend. His generosity, patience & humour always got me through those 4am starts. He was tireless & managed to be everywhere at the same time! First person in, last person out. What a special man. I liked him so much and will miss him. I hope his family find comfort knowing he was so loved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are so sorry for your loss. Please know we are here to support Tanner in any way we can with the Wakeland band family. We are a family and truly love and care about Tanner and all of the Smith family. Tommy left a great legacy and Tanner made him proud by many things but especially the way he has taken on the Wakeland band and made such a great impact in such a short time. Our prayers are with you all.

Dear Smith Family.........I was saddened to hear of Tommy's passing. I came to know him via the Shell Houston Open. He was a gem to work with and always seemed to carry a smile regardless of the situation. His tireless volunteer efforts in the Houston area will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies are extended to Tommy's family. Tommy is a model of the core values we attempt to instill to the kids in the 1st Tee program. I appreciated the leadership qualities he projected. As a member of the committees he led, I always felt I was volunteering with him, never working for him. Truly an example we all should strive to emulate. He will be greatly missed.

Tommy, was a great asset to the Houston Golf Assoc. His presence will be missed at the SHO. I had the honor of working with him for two years as Vice-Chairman and I admired his commitment to the tournament and the volunteers. I am glad to have known him. Dear family....Randy and I are so sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. He worked so well with our group at the SHO - HE WAS ALWAYS there to help when On Course Shuttle needed him. What a great and gracious man. So caring and wanted everything to go just right for everyone, including the volunteers. I can still see him be-bopping across the tent to ask me if I needed anything....We are heartbroken. Know you all are in our prayers and Tommy will truly be missed a lot. Randy and Carol Barta
