Thomas W. St. John, 63, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025.

Born on August 16, 1961, Thomas proudly served in the United States Army and later worked in customer service, where he was known for his patience, dedication, and kindness.

A lifelong learner and quiet soul, Thomas found joy in the pages of a good book and the simple beauty of nature through gardening it brought him peace and joy, and later in life, he found comfort in crocheting. As a young man, he was a talented artist, expressing himself through drawing and creativity.

Thomas is survived by his son, Rhilee Chayce (Christina); his siblings, Barbara Smith (Rusty), Varina Rochette (Rocky; deceased), Brenda Grant (Royce), Richard St. John (Maureen; deceased), Alvin Crowder (Beth), and Howard St. John. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Kenneth St. John, and his brother, Michael St. John.

His son, Rhilee, shared: "He wasn't just my daddy he was my safe place, my calm in the chaos, and someone I could always count on. Life won't be the same without him."

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of his sister, Barbara Smith. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many. A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 15, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Barbara Smith 6720 CORONET CT Lakeland 33811.

I wish I could've had the honor of meeting rhilee's dad because I've heard wonderful things about him. I can tell by his pictures and his son that he had a sweet soul and I see alot of him in rhilee. You are going to be missed very much but I'm sure you'll be above watching and protecting your amazing child. Thank you for your service and for your son.
