Thomas Alan Turner SR

Peoria - Thomas Alan Turner Sr., 67, passed away on October 11, 2025, in Brighton, Colorado. Born on November 26, 1957, Thomas was a dedicated family man who cherished his time with loved ones. He married Carolyn Trent Jan 31st 1977 they divorced in 2010.He founded Turner's Towing and Sons in 1998, a business he owned and operated for many years, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

Thomas is survived by a loving family, including his daughters Vickie Knapp, Terri Hebert, Rose Turner of DeKalb; his sons Tom and his wife Destinee Turner of Peoria; his brothers Billy and Sandra Turner of Rock Island, Russell and Teri Turner of Nashville, TN, John Froman and Joe and Heidi Huffman of East Peoria; and his sister Christine Fanning of Creighton, Nebraska. His legacy continues through his several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his sons Micheal Turner and TC Turner; his sister Marilyn Raines and Joyce Waters; his father Charles Turner; his mother V. Imogene Spencer; and his grandchildren Justin France Turner and TJ Turner; and great-grandchildren Lisa Purser and Atlas Cody.

A service to honor Thomas's life will be held at the American Legion in East Peoria on November 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His life was marked by his deep love for his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and his lasting impact on those around him. Thomas will be remembered as a pillar of strength, love, and generosity in his community.
