Age 67, of Penn Hills, on Sat., Feb. 1, 2003; beloved husband of Sue (Adams); father of Mara (Dan) Adams, Elisha (Sean) Murphy, Tom (Marilyn), Ken (Bernadette), David (Gigi), Steven, Philip, Kari & Theresa Vehec; brother of Anna Abaray, Betz Belan & Michael Vehec; preceded in death by parents Michael and Anna Vehec; two sisters, Mary Ezak, Helen Marcinko; and a brother Joseph Vehec; also survived by 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Friends received Mon & Tues 2-4 & 7-9 pm SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., ROTH CHAPEL 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Rd.) Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial St John the Baptist Church, Wednesday 10 am. Donation to one's choice.

On the occasion of Father's Day and my birthday to follow I find it so hard to believe how much time has passed. Reflecting on the person I am and that I strive to be, I am reminded of the influence this great man had in shaping me. I was born on Father's Day and always joked that I was the gift for him every year. I know that having him influence and guide me morally and spiritually is the real gift that I have been blessed with since that first day. Missed today as ever, loved and cherished more each day.

Nearing the end of another year. Remembering you on your Birthday. Hard to believe the time that has passed. I know you are watching over us all and especially our Riley. She is amazing and misses you dearly. Missing you and thinking of our trips together when you were at Fox.

I just wanted to let you know how much that I'm going to miss Tom! He was a great man and a great friend.
Sue, you and Tom have brought so many people to Christ over the years that I have no doubt at all that Tom is resting comfortably in Heaven with Jesus. I do grieve for you and the great family that Tom left behind. Please know that all of you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I have only known Tom for a short while since I only became involved with the Moose District Meetings about a year ago but he always had a way to make us smile.
