I knew Tommy for more than 60 years and went to St. Mary's with him and played sports with him and his brothers. Tommy was a real Eastporter, a rare native, and I used to call him and buy crabs from him. Each time I called before I could say a wodd he would dryly say "Got any crabs?" and that became our greeting.
A nice, hard-working caring guy, aprt of the Vdak clan who really had a very droll sense of humor. Sorry to learn of his passing and I wish I had spent more time with him after high school as our lives diverged.

I will miss sitting next to you old friend. Fond memories flood my mind at this moment of hunting ducks with you and your sons in Chestertown Maryland or Flounder fishing on the Eastern shore of Virginia or most recently goose hunting from a pit in Crumpton Maryland.
You taught me patience and persistence Old Man.....THANK YOU.

Carol, Bunky an Eddie,
Am so sorry to hear of Toms passing. I have so many great memories of fishing with him. He wasn't a big talker and didn't really wear his heart on his sleeve but you could always see how much he loved his family. My heart is breaking for all of you. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

We will miss his friendship over the many years and travels that Ron and I went with him, Carol and family. will always remember the time spent at the Outer banks. Always had plenty of fun fishing, eating steamed crabs and fresh vegetables from his garden. Carol and sons our heart goes out to you and know that you will always be in our thoughts and hearts. Our prayers go out to Kaitlyn, Tom's beautiful granddaughter and their special bond. Tom always made us feel more like family then just friends.
Love Ron and Linda Carson

I share my condolences with the family. I have so many wonderful and funny memories of Uncle Tommy. Lord knows I gave him some grief, but that's what nieces are for. The world is a lot dimmer without him.

I am so very sorry to learn of Tommy's passing. I always enjoyed a chat over the fence when he was tending his garden with PK. My thoughts are with you Carol and I hope that memories of all the happy times you shared will give you comfort.

To Carol, Bunky and Eddie. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband/dad. Tommy was a tough cookie but a fine man who loved his outdoor world, dogs and grand daughter. I never thought a small child like Kaitlynn could bring such a light into his heart and eyes! HUGS to all...
Thank you for being the best Grandfather to my little girl. We miss you so much
