A native of Drew, MS and a resident of Walker, passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 85. He served and defended our country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of Walker Baptist Church, the Purple Heart Association, St. James Lodge No. 47 F & M and the Jerusalem Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Wells; daughters, Becky Anne Martin, Patti Anne Wells and her fiance V. Wayne Struckman, Tracey Anne Fontenot and husband James; sons, Stephen M. Clack and Thomas G. Wells, III; step-daughters, Linda Griffin and husband Ruffin, Carol Faulkenberry and husband Steve, Karen Yates and husband Thomas; step-sons, Tony NIchols, Robert Nichols, 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Wells; second wife, Athalea Wells; parents, Thomas G. Wells Sr. and Eunice Wells; granddaughter, Brittany Gilmore; great-grandson, Jacob Martin; son-in-law, William K. Martin.
