Whitlock, Thomas Franklin Thomas (Tom) F. Whitlock has passed away at the age of 70. Tom was born March 19, 1952 in Jackson, Michigan to Otis F. and Rozella M. Whitlock. He is survived by two sisters, Linda A. Whitlock of Mesa, AZ and Carolyn J. Whitlock of Vero Beach, FL, also one niece, three nephews and several cousins. Tom was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School where he excelled in the fields of Electronics and Industrial Arts. In 1973 he began a 35-year career first as a Switchboard Operator at Michigan Bell Telephone Co and then in 1978 transferring to Mountain Bell Telephone Co (now known as Qwest) Denver, CO to eventually become a Cable Technician. He made his home in Morrison, CO. Tom was quite interested in Astronomy and proficient in photography for which he utilized state-of-the art equipment in producing and developing prints of historic areas of Jackson, MI and the scenic West. His family is extremely heart-broken with his loss. A future interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Jackson, MI.

I first met Tom in Jackson when I was 21, recently married, and ex pecting our first child. Mt husband and I got an apartment in a house in downtown Jackson, right next to a little party store.
Tom and his room mate were neighbors, just out of high school. I had taken a break from attending MSU. After I gave birth,
and brought the baby home, some of our friends dropped by, including Tom. Everone brought our baby a little gift. But Tom brought ME a gift, a little bottle of expensive perfume! Surprisingly, it was just what I needed, as I was feeling a bit afraid of being a new mom. I was forever grateful- never forgot that gesture or Tom. He was always such a neat guy, and we became close friends during that wild time. I remember Ted Nugrnt always coming by to visit the boys next door, as well as another neighbor Jerry Younkins who was making a movie.
Finally that crowd got a bit much, and my husband and I moved to California. Whenev we r I think of thos times, I remember Tom who was always such a bright interesting and thoughtful guy.
RIP my friend!
