ZANGAS--Thomas C., on March 10, 2011, of New York City. Beloved husband of Manny. Loving son of Leonard and the late Catherine, stepson of Penelope. Dear brother of Melissa and Yelena. Brother-in-law of Thomas and uncle of Catherine and Ethan. Calling hours at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset on Saturday 7pm and Sunday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service on Monday 9:30am at the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, pt. Washington. Interment Flushing Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to: Lung Cancer Alliance, PO Box 630972, Baltimore, MD 21263.

My dear 2nd cousin Tom was a shining star amongst the planets.Our love to my cousin Len and Penny,Yelena,Melissa and the entire family.Also to Manny who on their wedding day they vowed their love to one another, we wish you much strength.I want to remember Tom that day,smiling and the happiest ever.Eternal be his memory.We know now that star shines bright in the heavens.God Bless you,Mary,Jay and Matt (2nd Cousins)

Tom was a dear friend from high school. Although I have not been in touch for many years, I know the world has lost a very bright light. In my memories, Tom is always smiling, always sharing his zest for life. I am deeply saddened to learn of his death and extend my sympathies and thoughts to his near and dear ones.

I remember Tommy Zangas as a happy, outgoing, friendly youngster who was in my daughter Felecia's classes at PS 221 and following, in JHS. I am deeply saddened to learn of his early death.
