Tillman Shockley Obituary
T.L. had been in the construction business all of his life, having built many homes in the Morristown and surrounding areas, becoming the Head of the Home Builders Association. He was also a charter member of Manley Baptist Church and had attended Pilot Knob Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Though he had many accomplishments, he is best known as being a fixture at Jerry's Automotive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Joan Kidwell Shockley; and 11 brothers and sisters.
He leaves his son, Jerry Shockley; daughter, Terri Shockley; granddaughter, Heather Erin Shockley; very special friends who are like family, Peggy Long and Kim Turner; and many other extended family members.
Visitation with his family will be Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mayes Mortuary with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with the Reverends Richard Snowden and Dr. Howard Johnny Shipley officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 in Mohawk Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pilot Knob Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Talbott Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

So sad to hear of the loss of TL Shockley. This man helped me a lot when I started at a young age raising my children. I use to help him out all the time with his houses and at Jerry's Auto. RIP TL and sorry to family for loss.
