Jill, I just heard of Tim's passing and wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and remembering all of you in my prayers. Tim was such an inspiration to me. Always a fighter, always upbeat through any difficulty. Tim got so much strength and love from you and his family; he was a great role model for all of us. He will be missed. I hope you can find comfort in your memories.

I have several fond memories of Tim and his family. Some of the best times we shared was playing football with Dennis, Chris, and Tim. Tim and I always thought we were the stronger team and could run through Chris and Dennis, but we never could. They chose to play a passing game and it never seemed to work to our advantage. We must not have been any stronger than them afterall.
But my fondest, most special memory was the summer I had my last chance to play little league baseball. I decided to try and play because I would be one of the oldest players. I wanted to be on Tim's team because he encouraged me and gave me confidence. He told me he wasn't going to play that summer, but he worked with me to improve my skills and game. I am forever grateful for the lessons I learned from Tim. Memories are a treasure in life and Tim made my life richer. He taught me how to be a true friend.

My sincere condolences to the family at this most grievous time. May you be comforted by reflecting on the many wonderful memories that you can cherish forever.

I'm so sorry for your families loss of Tim. My name is Sheryl Turner Shorten and I had the pleasure of meeting the Laughlin family when they lived in rural Grant County close to Marion, IN. I always remember how warm and friendly the whole family was and how I along with my brothers and cousins were always invited along to the Elks pool or Indianapolis trips with them. This was a real treat for a girl from a farm whose mother didn't have a drivers license to take us anywhere. I remember bragging that I never had poison ivy and so Tim decided to rub a leaf over my knee. I got a small streak, but he broke out all over his hands :)
It was great having them for neighbors to play kickball, have squirt gun fights, ride bikes, and play in the woods. Such good memories even all these years later.
My prayers are with you all, Sheryl
