James Douglas:
Died peacefully on December 28, 2021 at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim, aged 86 years. Beloved husband of Judith (Jude) for 62 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Michael and Janet (Canada), and Peter and Kim (Australia). Loved brother of Gilchrist (Gil), Jennifer (deceased), Margaret, and Kevin (NZ), and Sheena (Australia). A private cremation has taken place and his farewell will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and cards, a donation to Alzheimers Marlborough would be appreciated to account 02- 0600-0112284-00 ref. MUNRO. His life was one punctuated by community service and humour. There are countless memories of him, and you probably have one too. Share your story about, or memory of him at [email protected] and we will add it to his Life Story Book.

To Judy, Michael, Peter and families. So sad to hear the news of Welly passing. What a fabulously full life he has had ... always keeping busy and involved in the community, and of course the daffodils. We are thinking of you all at this time and remembering some fantastic times from years gone by and the brilliant mind, sharp wit, and all things 'smiling' that were Welly. He is fondly remembered by us all from our Medbury days. Would love to attend a celebration of Welly's life at a later date. Love to all.
