Sterling Keasey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 31 to Feb. 4, 2007.
KEASEY Sterling "Bill" Keasey made his way to the "great pinto bean valley in the sky" on Monday, January 29, 2007, just two months shy of his 85th birthday. He was a true renaissance man of great intellect and talent. A graduate of Chauncey Dover High School, he attended Ohio University after serving with the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. His careers spanned numerous occupations (many coincidentally) and he retired from North American Rockwell in the early 80's from the Photogrametry Department of Quality Engineering. He was a member of the Brick Layers Union, a Master Cabinetmaker, an artist, a philosopher, and published a small book of poetry. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Susannah; his three daughters, Susan (Rick) Lasley of Plain City, Marti (Martha) Jones of Canal Winchester, and Mary Ann Keasey-Canty of Blacklick; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jones of Cincinnati, Michael King of Los Angeles, Ian Thickstun of Columbus, and Christopher and Megan Canty of Blacklick; his nephew, Patrick (Pamela) Keasey of Johnstown; his niece, Ruth (Larry) Prince of Johnstown; his sisters, Juanita Bileau of California, Chris Schmeltz of Colorado; as well as many loving nieces and nephews of the southwestern United States and friends from all over the world. He was preceded in death by his son Michael R. Keasey, his brothers Michael S. and Richard L. Keasey, his sisters Jane Keasey and Ruth H. Carmichael, his nephew Richard M. Keasey and his beloved friend Robert M. Knightstep. www.cotnerfuneralhome.com. A memorial wake will be held February 18; for further details or to contact the family please visit www.tastyville.com.
