Timothy Enniss Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2025.
Timothy "Timm" Peter Enniss passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Millcreek, Utah, following a final day filled with laughter, heartfelt goodbyes, and the sharing of comedic family secrets of uncertain veracity...it was a good day for Dad.

Timm had been afflicted with aphasia for the past three years and a progressive neurocognitive disorder. He is now free from the bondage of those conditions and enjoying his new knees.

Timm was born on December 25, 1947, to Geraldine Soper Enniss and John Evern Enniss and engaged in a lifelong debate with God about who's birthday should really be celebrated first on that day.

He grew up in Draper, Utah and attended Jordan High School where he formed many lifelong friendships. An avid athlete, he played football, baseball, and basketball throughout his youth and high school. Continuing his love of sports, he later took up karate, volleyball, golf, and pickleball. He also coached baseball, little league flag football, and softball teams. Timm cherished the annual tradition of hunting with his father, uncles, and cousins and had a deep appreciation for all things mechanical-whether it was riding motorcycles, racing Mustangs, or tinkering in the garage. He truly loved his friends and family.

In his official career, Timm worked as a civil engineer and draftsman. In his unofficial career, he was a practical jokester, artist, Halloween costume enthusiast, poet, woodworker, Jimmy Buffet fan, and fierce protector of untouched snowfall in his front yard during the winter.

In 1973, he married Jada Judkins and had three children who he would do anything for, and to whom he passed on his appreciation and respect for nature. He was active in the illustrious Draper Basketball Association ("DBA") that wreaked havoc on Sundays for decades in the old Draper City/Park School building gymnasium and backyards throughout Draper. He also was a dedicated participant and organizer of the highly elite society for the yearly "Zipper Open" golf and drinking tournament in Wasatch State Park.

Preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine "Jerry" (aka Grandma Gump); father, John; Brother, Mike Huston; and brother, Kit. Survived by his brother, Kevin; his children: Shea (Katie), Tiffany (Steve), and Brittany; his lifelong friend and partner, Colleen Black and her children: Marty (Kim), Kathy (Gary), and Jamie; grandchildren and bonus grandchildren: Natalie, Jack, Josh, Talon, Teagan, Summit, Lake, Jordan (Mary and Brevan), Katelyn (Alex), Alex, and Sadie.

And of course, his beloved cat, Oreo.

The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Creek Skilled Nursing Facility as well as Active Home Health and Hospice for their dedicated care of Timm in his final weeks on earth.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28, at Colleen Black's home, 11480 S. High Mesa Dr., Sandy, Utah, from 4:00ish to 7:00ish.

I was very sad to hear of your loss. I worked with Timm for a number of years and respected him and his work ethic. You remember certain individuals that you come in contact and Timm was one of those individuals.
May he rest in peace.

Timm was always a man I looked up to. I was so lucky to get to know him better during a portion of the DBA years. He did not disappoint. A kind, courages man who was a loyal friend and role model for all of us.

Timm was my older and very handsome cousin with that blue HOT Mach that I adored from afar, the car and the man! He was always a tease, but such a nice person. Family, hugs to you all, we will miss this great guy!

I remember Timm and Kevin taking me to JHS football game. Now I was in grade school but to me it was like being at an NFL game I will always remember him and Kevin. God's speed to the family.
