Published by Legacy Remembers on May 14, 2024.
Timothy E Exum, of Ocala Florida formerly of North Ridgeville Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 12th 2024 at Grace Davis Hall Hospice in Marion County Florida.

Born June 16th, 1943, in Euclid Ohio to Margaret Exum (Horgan) and Paul Exum Sr., Tim grew up in Euclid Ohio and graduated from St Joseph's high school in the class of 1961. After High School Tim worked for Chase Brass before beginning his long career in skilled trades as a Millwright with General Motors from 1965 until his retirement in 2008. During his 44-year career with GM, he held many leadership positions with the UAW at the Coit Rd Fischer Body GM Plant in Cleveland Ohio until its closure in 1983, after which he transferred to the GM Parma Ohio Metal Stamping Plant from which he retired.

Tim had 3 Children with his first wife Janet. Tammy (Bill Meyerholt) of Milton GA, Ryan (Leanne) Exum of Chardon Ohio and Kristen (Charlie Hauff) of Ocala Florida, as well as seven grandchildren Morgan and Jacob Meyerholt, Rachael and Nicholas Exum, and Abbie, Dylan, and Millie Hauff.

Tim Met his second Wife Joan (Cunningham) in 1987. The couple married on 12/14/1999 and resided in North Ridgeville Ohio for 33 years. Tim and Joan enjoyed traveling, hosting family events at their cabin at Salt Fork State Park, and socializing at the local Moose and VFW clubs, where each held various leadership positions over the years. Both Tim and Joan were extremely proud of their Irish Heritage. St Patrick's day was held in the same regard as Christmas and Thanksgiving, and its celebration was often a multi-day event. Tims proud Irish Heritage was expressed 365 days per year, as he would often wear green clothing, drive green vehicles, and choose a good corned beef sandwich over a steak.

Tim was proceeded in Death by his Wife Joan (Cunningham) Father Paul Exum Sr., Mother Margaret Exum (Horgan) , and Brother William Exum.

Private services will be held at a future date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of contributions, the family request any donations be made to the charity of your choice in Tim's memory.
