Timothy Fry Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 13 to Feb. 24, 2023.
Our father, Timothy James Fry, left this world on February 6th, 2023 at the age of 64. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Timothy Fry grew up with his 5 siblings in South Lake Tahoe, CA. In 1986 he began a long, successful career at Lionakis Beaumont Design Group (now Lionakis). He was also a long standing board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento. Timothy James Fry enjoyed spending time at family gatherings telling stories of the past to his kids and nieces and nephews. He could always make everyone laugh with his very animated story telling skills. He loved fishing, hiking, and spending time in the outdoors, especially in South Lake Tahoe.

He is survived by his children, Jessica, Jacob and Annemarie. As well as his grandchildren, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews and wife Barbara. He is now at peace in heaven with loved ones including his parents (Pops and Grandma Dee) and his late wife, Terese J. Fry.

To honor his memory, we are in the process of arranging a celebration of his life in South Lake Tahoe. We will announce details as soon as we have them.

I was Tim´s partner at Lionakis for 10 years. He was instrumental in growing the firm and set the firm on an exciting path, through attracting and promoting talent. His impeccable values and judgment was a core driver. I will forever be grateful for Tim inviting me to join as his partner. RIP Tim. You will be sorely missed.

Tim and I worked together for a few years at Lionakis to grow the firm. He was a force to bring about growth and had a deep caring for the company and all its employees.

My first memory of Tim was at a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club. He was the Chair of the Board and I was the brand new CEO. He and a buddy had a challenge, the loser had to dye his hair different colors and shave into it the letters BGC (for Boys & Girls Club) and agree to wear it that way for at least a week. Now, Tim was a professional guy and kind of a big-wig around town. He was also the loser. True to form he and his orange and blue head attended many business meeting and events and brought a lot of attention to our club. I think he even wore it that way for more time than was required. He was a good guy, my mentor...and he was hysterical. He will be missed.
