Timothy Galloway Obituary

Published by Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home from Sep. 30 to Oct. 2, 2016.
Timothy Jude Galloway, Jr. (TJ for those in the know) - the life of every party he ever went to - departed this world far too soon on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Faster than a strike of lightning and just as unexpected to hit any given spot at any given time, TJ had a brain aneurysm that ruptured on Monday, Sept. 26 - two days after his 35th birthday on Sept. 23. After a valiant two-day fight on his part and those of his doctors, nurses and care teams at Henrico Doctors and Johnston-Willis, TJ was overtaken by his devastating condition on Wednesday morning. TJ was born in Huntingdon, PA, and loved fast cars, fishing, racing (dirt track and RC cars), and Bud Light, but first, foremost & always his family. A master brick mason since his teen years, TJ was the mortar to his family of four: Erin Leigh Nathan (33), soulmate since 2001, daughter Fern Elizabeth Joanne Nathan (17), and his best-buddy of a son Talen Jude Galloway (6). They all lived ecstatically happily in Richmond, VA, for the past 5 years where weekend fishing excursions to Joseph Bryan and Three Lakes Parks, evenings cooking out (even in the snow), and backyard MacGyver-style spontaneous building projects were the norm. TJ was an absolutely epic brother to four: Older sister Virginia Therese Parthemos, 37 (married to Peter James, 36), of Richmond, VA; younger sister Brittni Necole Skeens, 29 (married to Brian Westley, 31), of Williamsburg, VA; and younger brothers Brandon Thomas, 24, and Jordan Wesley, 19, both of Gloucester, VA. This motley crew of five could regularly be found doing smart adult activities like "Antiquing" Jordan, taking turns hitting each other with golf balls whacked as hard as possible, throwing steaks over mountains & onto Brandon's face, paintballing, and making Wizard Staffs out of beer cans at Brittni's house. TJ himself was beyond dedicated to his siblings - he never missed one of Brandon's dirt track races where he was always in the pits keeping things together, he teamed up with Peter to do pretty much every repair & update in Virginia's house, he was forever gaming & fishing with Jordan, and he couldn't wait to welcome Brittni's baby in December. Her name will be Rubi Jude now in TJ's honor. TJ also leaves behind just a metric ton of aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he adored, but also his Mom & Dad, Timothy Jude, Sr., 57, and Donna Mae (born Wright), 54, also of Gloucester, VA. Not going to sugar-coat it: TJ was a hand-full to raise! School...
