I was just told of the recent passing of Tim and Mac. Mac and I worked together a very long time ago @ Security Homestead. I often thought about her and her family through the years. She always had a great story to tell. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your parents. Remember that they will always be in your heart to continue to guide you through life.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

My sympathies to Aunt Gennie especially, and to Rhonda and Kirk and their families, and Tim and Madonna's children and grandchildren. What a tragedy for them to leave their friends, family and loved ones too soon. It seems like our families visited each other more often than our other Gautreau cousins. Tim was a fun cousin: we didn't play cowboys and indians, we played space invaders and astronauts, and once Tim had a bad asthma attack in our Baton Rouge home. I had never heard of asthma until then. Uncle Simon was always nice to me and Aunt Gennie's wonderful cooking was always welcomed. Peace, Love and my sympathy to all who knew and loved them...

Mac & Gotro; Thank You! For reminded us what the true meaning of friendship and unconditional love for one another is. Thank you, for opening your hearts, and your home, and telling us we were always welcome. Thank you, for lending an ear when we needed to vent, or covering our back side after to much milk and cookies. Ya'll set the bar high for all of us, but I promise I'll try to live up to your expectations. Oh by the way. Tim your the only one that got away with calling me Dougie. But from now on if someone calls me that,.... I'll just smile. Happy Trails Amego's. Till we meet again.

To the Gautreau Family:
It’s impossible to see beyond your pain, but look to good memories to comfort and help you today. Your heart and soul will find peace and happiness…that is what Tim & Madonna would want for all of you. May the blessings of God be upon you, may peace be always within your soul, may its essence illuminate your heart, now and forever. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. My heart is heavy and I will miss Tim and Madonna beyond words.

Tim and Madonna. Darrel and I will miss your surprise visits when you just popped in on the golf cart sooo much! As soon as you saw that garage door open and knew Darrel was home, those pop ins were much more frequent! He loved you sooo much Tim. He will be lost! Jami, Stephen and Casey are missing you already... you guys were their golf start stop off spot! I thank Ron and Rhonda and Grandma Ginny for sharing you and your family with us! We drive by the house everyday hoping to see something that will comfort us. I see you got the addition to the drive way finished! And I know you shared your taken up sod with the neighbors as you were wanting to! I really am just now realizing as I write this that you truly are gone! Madonna thank you for the wonderful few minutes we had to talk in April after the open house. I love you too!!! You and Tim were the best!! You served your fellow man in a way that does not happen often anymore! It is a family thing I guess! Rhonda also has a great servants heart! Her care of Grandma Ginny is something to behold!
Grandma Ginny you did a great job of raising Godly children with hearts full of love! Stephen and I were talking about the time we came to help Madonna with the generator during Ike and Tim was out for Entergy. You were crying and shaking wanting him home...he drove up while we were there and you two ran to each other. Tim crying before he ever got out of the truck seeing you cry. You embraced and held each other forever crying. I saw a love that day that is rare in our world. A love that transcends all good times and bad times. One that endures and grows stronger with age. Tim and Madonna thank you for all of the memories, but most of all thank you for the hope you give to those of us waiting for our day to gaze upon the face of God! I pray that he sees the love in my heart that he sees in yours right now! I love you and miss you more than you know. Our prayers are with you Timmy, Tommy, Travis, Miss Ginny, Ron, Rhonda, Nicole(I know how much you loved your Godmother and Godfather) Kyle and all the wives and children..
